Be More Successful – Start Your Day With the Right Success Habits

Do you want to be more successful? How do you start your day?

Do you hit the snooze three or four times?

Struggle to get up and get ready for the day?

Is drinking coffee or caffeine the first thing you do when you wake up?

If you want to be more successful, you have to do what successful people do.

For a huge majority of people, this might sound familiar. Not everyone is a morning person, so getting up before the sun rises can be a huge challenge for some.

Studies suggest, however, that getting up well before work begins just might be the way to go to be more successful.

Thomas Corley, author of Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, found that certain habits correlate with being rich and successful, while other habits correlate with being poor.

Corley’s work shows that 44% of wealthy people wake up a full 3 hours before their first appointment of the day. To the contrary, only 3% of poor people had the same habit.

Want to be more successful? Model those who already are!

Many successful people are highly ritualistic in the morning. They wake up around the same time, if not the exact same time everyday. The things they do in the morning that get them ready to attack their day, and are conducive to helping them be more successful than others.

Most achievers aren’t trolling around Facebook for an hour or two while they slug down a pot of coffee, dreading the day’s events.

PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, for example, wakes at 4 a.m. and is in the office no later than 7 a.m. Meanwhile, Disney CEO Bob Iger gets up at [4:30] to read, and founder of Twitter and Square, Jack Dorsey, is up at [5:30] to jog.

Many people who are uber successful do this for any number of reasons. First, they take control of their day from the start. This is a major ‘secret’ that allows them to be more successful than their competition.

They aren’t waiting around hoping for good luck; they are out making it happen. Next, most people’s schedule gets busier as the day goes on, so getting in the essential activities first thing is a must – otherwise it may not happen.

Watch the video below for 3 easy tips on starting your day and how it can set you up for success. Be more successful now!
